It's a Labor Of Love

Four years ago my wife showed me this house on Zillow. Initially I thought it looked to "formal" for us, but she continued to tell me we should look at it. I resisted and we continued to look at other houses but none felt right. Finally one Friday I agreed to walk thru it... and as we opened the front door we looked at each other and smiled... this was the one.

The owner had lived there since he was 8 years old and now was 70. The house hadn't been updated since 1955, but it was maintained.

Everything however was GREEN, carpeted and wallpapered. The landscaping was so old our landscaping friend couldn't even identify some of the old bushes.

Over the last 4 years of remodeling we have endured rain through the ceiling in our kitchen, a ceiling collapse in our office, sewer backups and other fun things, but we wouldn't trade this home for anything. It's home, and while it's tiring it's a Labor of Love.
